News & UpdatesA fun-loving wedding with a traditional funfair! We do love a wedding here at Food Show and a wedding at Dulwich Picture Gallery is always such a treat to organise, especially when there's a funfair involved!
At 2.30pm 120 guests started to arrive for the Bride & Groom's wedding ceremony in the beautiful Linbury Room. As the ceremony was taking place the Food Show team were busy transforming the meadow for the reception. With traditional carousel and dodgems, this was a spectacular surprise for guests as they walked down to the meadow for drinks and canapes. Funfair inspired canapes of classic New York-style beef hotdogs topped with dill pickles, crispy onions, ketchup and mustard; beer-battered cod served with chips, tartar sauce & lemon and panko-crusted leek & parmesan sliders with heritage tomato chutney.
As the reception drew to a close, guests walked back to the Gallery for the wedding breakfast, a delicious menu starting with English garden salad with quail egg, yellow heritage tomato, baby carrot, whipped Ragstone goat cheese & artichoke. For main course, guinea fowl supreme wrapped in pancetta with a spinach mousseline served with pommes fondant, summer vegetables and a game jus. And dessert was a lime cheesecake with green tea crumble & mango sorbet.
At 9pm the bride & groom took to the dance floor for their first dance and the DJ continued to play throughout the evening. A spectacular day shared with the fun loving couple and their loved ones.
